Sophistication and classic English style. These are the hallmarks of the legendary Brown's Hotel, which joined the Rocco Forte Hotels collection of individual luxury hotels on 3rd July 2003.
Set in the heart of Mayfair, Brown's is one of the most classic and elegant hotels in London, and certainly the most historic. Founded in 1837, to provide 'genteel' accommodation for discerning people, Brown's still retains that air of exclusivity and refinement.

Brown's location makes it ideal for access to all the highlights London has to offer, including St James's, Bond Street, the West End, Piccadilly, and the Royal Academy of Arts. It is only a short distance, too, from the City and Knightsbridge.
Just a minute's stroll across Albemarle Street, you will find yourself on Old Bond Street with its designer shops, and Piccadilly, where the Royal Academy and Fortnum & Mason are located together with the charming Burlington Arcade and its exclusive shops. Across Piccadilly is the centre of the art world, and the world famous galleries of St James's.

Styled to be in sympathy with the Georgian splendour of the building, they all feature large double-glazed windows, antique furniture, comfortable armchairs, soft lighting, and many have original fireplaces. All have safes, in-room technology with two phone lines, a modem line, pay to view movies and satellite TV.

The highly-acclaimed Restaurant 1837 combines the very best of contemporary cuisine with the historic heritage of Brown's. Dine surrounded by Edwardian panelling beneath a fine Jacobean-style plasterwork ceiling, unchanged since it was installed over 100 years ago when it was the first hotel dining room in London. Choose from an à la carte menu featuring light and innovative contemporary European dishes made from the freshest ingredients.
